Spring
Weather is warming, flowers are beginning to bloom, and bright colors have started to emerge again. Yes, renewal and re-youth are in the air! While they may be used year-round, flower acids, like lotus and hibiscus, are favorites among clients this time of year. These non-irritating, yet powerful rejuvenators provide potent re-youth and brightening benefits, protect from free radicals, and deliver hydration and antioxidant support. With every changing season our skin struggles to adapt to climate. When spring arrives, longer time spent outdoors and in the sun can dehydrate and age skin. Also, the rise in humidity can wreck havoc on even the most beautiful skin. Now add to that summer around the corner, travel and extra Pina Coladas, you have the perfect storm for aging. The following tips will help prevent damage and keep your skin looking refreshed, rejuvenated and re-energized. Prevention is the key to looking Forever Younger!
Stay Flawlessly Clean
Deep cleansing the skin works wonders on prevention of nasty breakouts. Using cleansers that contain AHA or Beta Hydroxy acid will help to break down the residue and unclog pores.
Exfoliate to Radiate
Excess heat brings with it excess sweat and oil to clog pores. Exfoliating twice a week with a gentle exfoliation bead, not a brush, will help remove grease and dirt, reduce dryness, boost circulation and improve performance of a product application.
Get Smart With Your Water
Drink water with electrolytes to prevent dehydration and increase the length of time you are hydrated. Most importantly, if you must drink those Pina Coladas, have them with Coconut Water to prevent hangovers and hydrate!
Sun Protection!
Block Sun Rays – Nothing is more important than wearing sun protection daily. Ideally, use sun block with zinc and aloe. This will give your skin extra anti-inflammatory protection it needs plus Aloe prevents irritation. Double up on your sun protection by adding a layer of mineral powder. Studies reveal sun damage and exposure accounts for 90% of skin aging.
